  2. Hi Alex, my name is Sadie and I am friends with your mom. I was so sad to hear about Lionel. I remember when I was about your age my hamster Harry died and it was hard, but it helped to remember all the fun times and the silly things he did. Maybe you could do the same with Lionel. I bet it will help to talk with your mom and dad too.

  3. Hi Alex, take comfort in knowing that you were good to Lionel and he loved you. You gave him the best home a hamster could have and you were a great buddy to him! Smiles, Amy

  4. Hi Alex so sorry to hear about Lionel. I never had a hamster when I was young my parents didn't want to let us all each have a pet and with 8 of us I guess I see why. My son had one and they are sure alot of fun. Smile and remember all the fun times you had with Lionel.

  5. Dear Alex, I am so sorry to hear about Lionel. I am sure you will miss him very much but remember all of the wonderful time you spent together and the funny things he did. I recently lost my cat and the story of Lionel and his food reminds me of my cat, P.K. that use to move his water bowl half way across the kitchen floor before he would drink from it. Thank you for sharing about Lionel and making me smile.

  6. Hi Alex, My name is Leeanne and I am so sorry to hear about Lionel. I know how it feels. Last year I lost my little, fluffy dog named Teddy-bear who was hit by a car. But I remember how funny and happy he was running in the yard with his ears flapping in the wind and I know he had a very happy life with me even though it was short. I like to think about all the fun and silly things, like how he would run and then hit the kitchen floor and try to stop but he'd still go sliding across the floor til he hit the kitchen cabinet wagging his tail....so funny! Remember all the good times together!

  7. Hi Alex! I am a friend of your mother's, and I was so sad when I read that Lionel has passed away. I know how much it hurts to lose a beloved pet because they really are a part of your heart. He lives on in your memories. Take solace in the fact that he had a happy life with you.

  8. Hi Alex,
I'm an online friend of your mom's. I was so sorry to hear that Lionel had passed away.
Please know it's Ok to grieve - and even cry, if you need to. Our pets are an important part of our family.
Please also know that it's OK to remember all the good things - and it might help if you remember the funny things Lionel would do.
I've added you to my prayer list for comfort in your time of loss.
    Hugs from Alabama!
